Our Championships

Kombat Global operates a multi-discipline ecosystem of professional championships. Each discipline functions as an independent Kombat Global platform with its own identity, rules, and competitive pathway:

Global Launch & Broadcasting Milestone

‍On December 3, 2023, the first Kombat Taekwondo Professional Championships were held in Bogotá, Colombia, marking the birth of professional Taekwondo on the world stage. The event was broadcast live globally on ESPN, reaching tens of millions of viewers worldwide and establishing Kombat Taekwondo as the largest professional Taekwondo organization in the world.

Following its global debut, Kombat Global expanded broadcast distribution through Disney+, STAR+, and numerous national television networks, accelerating global demand for professional martial arts content and strengthening broadcast presence across international markets.

Origin & Evolution

‍Kombat Global began in February 2023 as Kombat Taekwondo, created in the United States under the leadership of Rick W. Shin, with the aim of modernizing Taekwondo into a professional spectator sport for global audiences.

In December 2025, the platform expanded to include multiple martial arts disciplines and officially adopted the name Kombat Global, unifying diverse combat sports under a single global ecosystem. During this transition, the corporate headquarters relocated to Singapore, establishing Kombat Global Corporation to support international operations, partnerships, and long-term growth.
