“ONE TAEKWONDO”: PTF India Launches Historic International Championships Uniting All Styles for the First Time Ever

Jammu & Kashmir, India – May 30 to June 2, 2026

In a groundbreaking moment for the global Taekwondo community, the Professional Taekwondo Federation India (PTF India) officially announces the 1st PTF India Open International Taekwondo Championships, set to take place from May 30 to June 2, 2026, at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Stadium in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India.

For the first time in history, multiple major styles of Taekwondo will come together on a single unified championship platform, marking a bold step toward the realization of “One Taekwondo.” Athletes will compete across:

ITF Taekwondo

Olympic Style Taekwondo

Kombat Taekwondo

This historic championship also marks the first time Kombat Taekwondo will be officially introduced in India, opening a new era of professional competition and global opportunities for Indian athletes.

This is not just an event—it is a movement to unify the fragmented Taekwondo community, bringing together athletes, officials, and leaders from all styles and backgrounds under one global platform.

The event is organized by PTF India, under the leadership of President Mr. Atul Pangotra, who has played a key role in bringing this landmark championship to India.

International Poomsae Seminar conducted by Grand Master Kevin Woon (Kukkiwon 9th Dan, Malaysia)

Black Belt Dan & Skip Dan Testing

Kombat Taekwondo Referee Certification Course

These programs aim to strengthen technical excellence and develop the next generation of Taekwondo leaders and officials.

Elite International Competition – May 31 to June 2, 2026

From May 31 through June 2, the championships will showcase high-level international competition, with athletes from multiple countries already confirmed to participate.
