Kombat has officially announced the launch of its Continental Title Belt Championships, marking a major expansion of its global competition structure and reinforcing its position as the world’s largest professional Taekwondo league.
The newly established Continental Title Belts will be contested across five major regions:
Asia
Europe
Africa
Oceania
Pan America
As the Kombat family continues to grow worldwide, we are proud to introduce Continental Title Belt bouts. This initiative was created to recognize Kombat fighters and provide them with greater opportunities to compete and advance on the global stage.
Pathway to World Title Belt
Each Continental Title Belt division will feature competition among the Top 8 ranked athletes within their respective regions, based on the official Kombat Rankings.
Continental Championships will serve as one of the key qualification pathways toward the Kombat World Title Belt, providing fighters with a clear and merit-based progression to the highest level of competition.
The introduction of Continental Title Belt Championships expands opportunities for Kombat fighters within its ecosystem, while driving increased spectator engagement, strengthening event organizers, and contributing to the growth of sports tourism across host countries.
This milestone builds on Kombat’s continued evolution. In December 2025, Kombat held its first World Title Belt bouts in Guadeloupe, Caribbean, marking a historic moment in the organization’s global championship development.
Matchmaking & Governance
All Continental Title Belt matchups will be approved exclusively by the Kombat Corporate Office, ensuring fairness, competitive integrity, and alignment with Kombat’s global standards.
Historic First Continental Title Bout
The inaugural Continental Title Belt bout, featuring the Pan American Title Belt, will take place on June 5, 2026, in São Paulo, Brazil, as part of the Kombat Challenge Series, marking a historic milestone for the organization.
Defending the Title
Kombat has reinforced its championship obligations:
If a Champion fails to defend their title when officially called upon by Kombat, the title may be vacated at Kombat’s discretion, ensuring active champions and consistent competition across all divisions.
Global Expansion of Professional Taekwondo
With operations spanning over 120+ countries, Kombat continues to lead the evolution of professional Taekwondo by building a unified, transparent, and performance-driven championship ecosystem.
The introduction of Continental Title Belts strengthens regional competition while elevating the global stage, providing more athletes with opportunities to compete, rise through the rankings, and achieve international recognition.
Official Statement
