Following the successful global launch of Kombat Taekwondo in 2023, Kombat is expanding its professional combat sports platform to include multiple martial arts disciplines under the Kombat brand.
Kombat will introduce dedicated professional leagues for Kombat Muay Thai, Kombat Kickboxing, Kombat MMA, Kombat Jiu Jitsu, and Kombat Kun Khmer, creating a unified global platform while respecting the identity and technical standards of each martial art.
All Kombat events will be held inside a professional octagon cage, providing a consistent world class competition environment across every discipline.
Each Kombat discipline will operate independently with its own championships, athlete pathways, and rules. These competitions are not cross style events. Fighters will compete strictly within their respective martial arts. Kombat Taekwondo is exclusively for Taekwondo practitioners. Kombat Kickboxing is for kickboxing athletes. Kombat Muay Thai is for Muay Thai fighters. Kombat Jiu Jitsu is for Jiu Jitsu athletes. Kombat Kun Khmer is for Kun Khmer fighters.
Since the launch of Kombat Taekwondo, many athletes from other martial arts backgrounds approached the organization expressing interest in competing under Kombat Taekwondo rules, often identifying themselves as Taekwondo black belts. However, their fighting styles and technical foundations did not reflect the performance standards and technical expectations of Kombat Taekwondo competition.
Instead of turning these athletes away, Kombat made the strategic decision to build professional leagues for additional martial arts styles under the Kombat brand, creating opportunities for athletes to compete within their own disciplines while still being part of the Kombat global platform.
Kombat’s philosophy has always been rooted in inclusivity and respect for all martial arts. When Kombat Taekwondo was launched, it welcomed practitioners from all Taekwondo styles around the world. This same vision now expands across the broader combat sports community.
Through this expansion, Kombat will provide professional pathways, international exposure, and structured competition for athletes across multiple martial arts disciplines while preserving the authenticity and integrity of each sport.
